The problem
A new café has one chance to be known before it opens.
We set ourselves a brief: a small café and bakery opening on a neighbourhood corner. It needs people to know it exists, and to want to come on the first day, before a single cup has been sold.
Small businesses often launch with a logo, a few phone photos and posts that each look different. The message gets lost, and so does the budget.
The idea and approach
One story, told the same way everywhere.
Kahvolu is an invented name, inspired by the sound of Finnish words. The identity tells one story, mornings in the neighbourhood: a sun rising out of a cup, warm crema and apricot colours, and a friendly, slightly quirky typeface.
From that we built a campaign kit: a short film with a motion logo, a series of social posts, ads cut for each placement and a landing page that collects interest before opening day. Every piece uses the same words, colours and type.
