Terms of Use and Service

The rules for using this website, and the terms we work under with clients. Firm where it matters, fair throughout, and written to be read.

General

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of zanarix.com and to the services we provide. They are offered by Mohammed Samiul Islam, trading as Zanarix (a private entrepreneur) ("Zanarix", "we", "us"), contact hello@zanarix.com. Zanarix is registered with the Finnish Trade Register (PRH) as a private entrepreneur. Business ID 3661000-3. Domicile: Turku.

Two kinds of clients. Some terms apply only to business clients: anyone acting for their business, trade or profession. If you are a consumer, buying for yourself and not for a business, your mandatory rights under consumer law always come first (see Your rights as a consumer).

What comes first. Every project has its own written project agreement. If it says something different from these terms, the agreement wins for that project, except where the law says otherwise. These terms cover everything it doesn't.

By using the website or accepting a quote from us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the website or our services.

We may block access to anyone who breaks these rules. If misuse causes us loss, we may claim compensation as the law allows.

Information on this website

The information on this website is general information about Zanarix and our services. It is not a binding offer, quote or professional advice for your situation. The scope, price and timeline of any project are agreed in writing.

Concepts, demos and self-initiated projects are clearly labelled as such. Brands marked as fictional are fictional, and sample data is not real data. Nothing on this site presents a concept as client work.

Our intellectual property

All content on this website belongs to Zanarix or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This includes text, designs, layouts, concepts, demos, illustrations, animations, code, and the Zanarix name and logo. © 2026 Zanarix. All rights reserved.

Concepts and demos stay ours. The concepts, demos and self-initiated projects shown here, including their names, brand identities, interface designs, code and ideas as presented, are original Zanarix work. Showing them publicly does not give anyone a licence to use them, and they remain ours even if they resemble your business or idea.

No copying or reuse without written permission. You may view this website and share links to it. You may not copy, reproduce, adapt, publish, sell, reverse-engineer or otherwise use any part of it without our prior written permission.

You may not use the Zanarix name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected to you, your products or your services.

Website availability

We work to keep this website accurate, secure and available, but we provide it "as is". We may change, update, suspend or remove any part of it at any time, and we don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

Working with us

Every project starts with a clear written agreement

No project starts until you have agreed to a written project agreement and paid the deposit. The agreement sets out what we will deliver and what isn't included, the timeline and milestones, the price and payment schedule, how changes are handled, and who owns the finished work. Both of us know exactly what to expect from the first day.

It begins with a quote. Each quote states how long it is valid. Once you accept it, we send the project agreement to agree in writing (email counts). The project begins when the agreement is agreed and the deposit has been paid (Payments, cancellations and refunds).

Ongoing work, such as a care plan, has its own short written agreement in the same way (Care plans).

Scope and changes

We deliver what the agreed scope describes. Anything outside it is extra work.

Either of us can suggest a change. We will tell you in writing how it affects the price and timeline, and we start on it only once you approve. Small adjustments that don't affect price or timeline can be agreed informally.

Timelines depend on both of us. If feedback, content, approvals, access or payments arrive later than agreed, the timeline moves accordingly, and we may charge for extra work the delay causes.

Your responsibilities

To make a project work, you agree to:

  • give us accurate information, and timely feedback and approvals
  • provide the content, materials and access we need, on time
  • make sure you have the rights to everything you provide (texts, images, logos, brand names, data) and that using it for the project is lawful
  • keep your own copies and backups of the materials you give us
  • check the deliverables and tell us promptly if something doesn't match what we agreed
  • take care of the legal requirements of your own business, such as your own terms, privacy policy and industry rules, unless we have agreed to help with them

You are responsible for the content and materials you provide. We don't have to check whether they are lawful or infringe anyone's rights, but we may refuse to use anything we reasonably believe is unlawful.

Payments, cancellations and refunds

Prices are in euros, and every quote states clearly whether VAT is included. How and when you pay is set out in your project agreement. These are the principles behind it.

A 50% deposit starts the work. Work begins once the project agreement is agreed and the deposit, half of the project price, has been paid. It covers planning, the first stage of the work and the project time we reserve for you, including any specialists.

How the rest is paid.

  • Projects up to €7,500: 50% deposit before work starts, and the remaining 50% on delivery.
  • Projects over €7,500: 50% deposit before work starts, 25% when the design is approved, and the final 25% on delivery.

Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date. If you question an invoice, tell us in writing before the due date and pay the part you don't question.

Late payment. If an invoice is paid late, we may charge interest on late payment under the Finnish Interest Act (korkolaki). For business clients, we may also charge the fixed compensation for recovery costs set by the Finnish Act on Payment Terms in Commercial Contracts (currently €40), and reasonable collection costs as the law allows. For consumers, reminder and collection costs are limited to what the Finnish Debt Collection Act allows. If an invoice is overdue and still unpaid after a written reminder, we may pause work until it is paid, after telling you in writing. The timeline moves by the same amount.

If you are a business client and cancel. You may cancel a project in writing at any time. The deposit is not refunded, because it covers the planning, the first stage of the work and the project time reserved for you. If the work done by then is worth more than the deposit, the difference is invoiced, together with any costs already committed on your behalf.

If we stop a project. If Zanarix itself stops a project, you pay only for the work delivered up to that point, and we refund the unused part of the deposit. If no work has started, that means the whole deposit.

Care plans have their own billing and cancellation rules: see Care plans.

If you are a consumer: your 14-day right to cancel. If you buy our services as a private person, and the agreement is made at a distance (online, by email or by phone), you may cancel it within 14 days of the day the agreement is made, without giving a reason. This right is yours by law and no agreement can take it away.

  • We don't start during those 14 days unless you ask us to in writing. If you would like work to begin sooner, tell us in writing, for example by email. If you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay only for the work done up to your cancellation, in proportion to the whole project.
  • Once the work is completely finished at your request, the right to cancel ends.
  • How to cancel. Email hello@zanarix.com with a clear statement that you are cancelling, before the 14 days are over. We send a simple cancellation form with every consumer agreement; using it is optional.
  • Your refund. We refund what you have paid, including the deposit, less any amount for work you asked us to start early, within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used unless you agree otherwise.

Care plans

A care plan is ongoing care, after launch, for something we have built or run for you: a website, online shop, web app, automation or AI assistant. A site built by someone else can join a plan once we have checked it and confirmed that it can. What each plan includes and costs is shown on our care plans page.

Starting a plan. Like every project, a care plan starts with a short written agreement. Once you have accepted it, you pay the year upfront for a yearly plan, or the first month for a monthly plan. Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date.

Billing periods. A monthly plan is paid one month at a time, and a yearly plan one year at a time. Each month or year paid for is a billing period.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@zanarix.com or replying to any of our emails, and we confirm in writing. The cancellation applies from your next billing period: a monthly plan keeps running until the end of the month you have paid for, a yearly plan until the end of the paid year. Periods already paid aren't refunded, and nothing more is charged after them.

Yearly plans renew only if you choose. We remind you before a yearly plan ends. It continues for another year only if you choose to renew.

Switching plans. You can switch to another plan. The new plan starts from your next billing period, so the period you have already paid stays as it is.

Included hours. Hours of changes included in a plan reset every month. Unused hours don't carry over to the next month. Extra work is always quoted before we start.

If you are a consumer, you also have the 14-day right to cancel described in Payments, cancellations and refunds, and the refund rules there apply within those 14 days.

Who owns the work

Until you have paid in full, the work is ours. All rights to the deliverables stay with Zanarix until every invoice for the project has been paid in full.

Once you have paid in full, the rights to the final deliverables made specifically for you pass to you, unless the project agreement says otherwise.

What stays ours. Our own tools, templates, code components, libraries, methods and know-how, whether we had them before or developed them during the project, remain ours. Where they are part of your deliverables, you receive a permanent, non-exclusive right to use them as part of those deliverables. Drafts, alternative designs and concepts we didn't deliver as final also remain ours.

Third-party materials. Fonts, stock images, open-source software, plugins and other third-party services included in a deliverable are used under their own licences, which you must follow. Any fees for them are yours unless the quote says otherwise.

Our portfolio. We show work we have done for you in our portfolio only with your permission, given in writing (for example in the project agreement or by email). We never reveal your confidential information this way.

Confidentiality: your ideas stay yours

Your ideas stay yours. When you share a project idea with us, you keep all rights to it. Sharing it doesn't transfer any rights to us, and we use it only to discuss and deliver your project.

We keep your confidential information confidential, and use it only for your project. So do the specialists who work on it: they are bound by written confidentiality. We expect the same of you for our confidential information, such as our quotes, methods and unpublished work.

This doesn't cover information that is already public, that the other party already knew or received lawfully from someone else, or that the law or an authority requires to be disclosed. These duties continue after the project ends.

Specialists we work with

For some projects we bring in carefully selected independent specialists. They are independent professionals, not Zanarix employees. We coordinate their work, and we remain responsible to you for the deliverables we have agreed to provide, as if we had done the work ourselves.

If something isn't right

If a deliverable doesn't match what we agreed, tell us in writing within the fixing period stated in your project agreement (or, if it states none, within a reasonable time after delivery), and we will fix it free of charge within a reasonable time. For business clients, this is our main responsibility for defects.

This doesn't cover problems caused by changes made by you or anyone else, by third-party services, by using the deliverables in a way we didn't agree, or new requests. We are happy to help with those as extra work.

No guaranteed business results

We do our work carefully and professionally, but we can't promise specific business results, such as search rankings, traffic, sales, revenue or growth. Those depend on many things outside our control, such as your market, your competitors, search engines and platforms. Any examples or estimates we share are not guarantees.

Limitation of liability

For business clients, to the extent the law allows:

  • our total liability for everything arising from or relating to a project is limited to the fees you have paid us for that project
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, revenue or business, business interruption, loss of data or damage to reputation
  • we are not liable for the failure, outage, changes or loss of data of third-party services, such as hosting, domains, email, payment providers, platforms, plugins or APIs, or for outages beyond our reasonable control
  • claims must be made in writing within a reasonable time of when you discovered, or should have discovered, the problem

For everyone: we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website, as far as the law allows.

What these limits don't cover. Nothing in these terms limits liability for loss caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, these limits apply only as far as consumer law allows.

Indemnity

If you are a business client, you agree to compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) that we suffer because:

  • content or materials you provided infringe someone else's rights or break the law
  • you used the deliverables unlawfully, or in breach of these terms or the project agreement
  • you misused this website in breach of these terms

We will tell you promptly about any such claim, and you may take part in defending it.

Events beyond our control

Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, power or network failures, cyberattacks, or outages of major service providers. We will tell each other as soon as possible, and timelines move accordingly. If such an event lasts so long that the project can no longer reasonably continue, either of us may end it in writing.

Pausing and ending a project

Ending for a serious breach. Either of us may end a project in writing if the other seriously breaks the agreement and doesn't put it right within the period set in the project agreement, or otherwise within a reasonable time, after being asked in writing.

Ending for other reasons. You may end a project at any time in writing. What you pay, and what is refunded, is explained in Payments, cancellations and refunds.

When a project ends. Invoices for work done become due. You receive the rights to the work you have paid for in full, as described above. Confidentiality, ownership, liability and payment terms continue to apply.

Legal

Your rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (kuluttajansuojalaki) or other mandatory law, including your right to cancel an agreement made at a distance within 14 days (see Payments, cancellations and refunds). Terms marked "for business clients" don't apply to you.

If we disagree, you can contact the consumer advice service of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (kkv.fi) and take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). You can also take a claim to the courts where you live, as the law allows.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and every project with us are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its choice-of-law rules.

We will always try to settle a disagreement by talking first. If that doesn't work, disputes with business clients are settled by the competent district court in Finland. Consumers keep their right to use the courts and services described above.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. A project is always governed by the terms that applied when it was agreed, unless we both agree in writing to use new ones.

General

  • If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid part is replaced by a valid one as close to its purpose as possible.
  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we don't lose it.
  • Neither of us may transfer a project agreement to someone else without the other's written consent, except that we may transfer it to a company set up to run Zanarix's business, which then takes on all our obligations under it.
  • Notices under these terms may be given by email.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
